Case study · ServiceChannel

Contractor coverage that doesn't lie.

ServiceChannel helps companies like REI, Levi's, and Petco hire contractors across hundreds of locations. Their facilities managers were vetting providers from spreadsheets that took weeks to compile and were out of date on arrival.

I designed and built a search tool to replace them: a results grid where each provider’s scores for performance, cost, coverage, and compliance could be compared at a glance, with weights a client could tune without having to understand the math underneath.

The map was the honest part. Coverage got drawn as real service areas, not radius circles, because a Denver contractor might cover Colorado and Wyoming but not New Mexico, and a circle would claim otherwise. Both views carried over to phones, so nobody had to be at a desk to use them.

I designed it and built the front end, from the scoring grid to the coverage map to the phone views, through to final handoff.
